The Ivy & Pearls Foundation is celebrating Christmas early this year with GivingTuesday! GivingTuesday, a global day of generosity that will take place on December 1, 2020, is unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. This year, please join us in giving the gift of empowerment to young women and girls across the globe, domestically and in our own Bay Area backyard! This GivingTuesday, please join us in:
- Partnering with Girls Not Brides to prevent girls from dropping out of school in Uganda by providing school fees, uniforms and scholastic materials to 8 girls, as well as sponsoring peer support to empower more than 20 girls to stay in school.
- Sponsoring 5 annual subscriptions for the Girls for a Change Immersion Lab, a professional development program empowering high school and early college female students by allowing them to gain certificates, learn new skills and receive insights from talented experts in multiple fields and organizations.
- Empowering the Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA), by providing 10 packages/units, each, of their most needed items including: pull-up diapers, feminine hygiene products, cleanable toys, thermometers, masks and gloves.
We’re asking for giving in the amount of $20.20, or if you dare, double down in 2020 and donate 20 + 20 ($40)! Thank you for supporting us in empowering women and girls both near and far, and in spreading the word that in 2020… #CovidcantconquerChristmas!
